vacation continued IV...Antigua take one

Our first stop in Guatemala was Antigua of course. While there we ate more (can you tell we ate a lot on this trip?), showed the fam beautiful Antigua, shopped in the market, visited friends, and tried to remember how to speak Spanish. Since its Antigua and I'm sure I've talked enough about it in other posts I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Enjoying our 'accidentally' booked first class seats
Accident huh, sure mom :)

Mom pretending to take a pic of dad so she could really
get a pic of the Mayan lady...sneaky sneaky
Santo Domingo: former Monastery
now the most expensive hotel in Antigua
Awesome restaurant with Denny's prices

There is also a sculpture park at the restaurant
View of Antigua from del Cerro
Fuego: one of the volcanoes that surround Antigua.
It 'erupts' at least once/day

Shopping in the mercado
Avocados everywhere!
More meat - I know its gross but I can't help it :)
Who doesn't want their beans and rice stored
in an open basket right next to dog and parrot food?
Best veggies en el mundo!
Giving Kris a true Guate experience: the Tuk Tuk
