Time Flies

Now that we are getting down to the end time seems to be in hyper speed. This last week Joel, Amber, Colin, and Beth came to visit from St. Louis and boy was it fun! We had a great time hanging out, showing them a little of what life is like here in Guate, and laughing A LOT! We can't believe they have already come and gone. We miss them already :(

Now starts the final countdown...3 1/2 weeks and counting! Yikes!

Countdown

Only 2 months left! We have officially started the homecoming countdown! Although we don't have tickets yet we are 99% sure we will be coming home July 16th - put it on your calenders friends! Man o man are we excited to be back in Seattle for a short time but it is very bittersweet. We have made some awesome friends down here and leaving them is going to be very tough.
Just last week in fact our new MCM missionaries arrived in Guatemala! Barb and Gerry moved into the house we have been living in for the past few months in San Lucas and we are having a great time getting to know them better. Now that they are here we are able to start doing some really exciting stuff out in Yalu...more about that soon!

 Besides Barb and Gerry we have also been hanging out with Darvy and Danny, our favorite Guatemaltecos! Gregg must have thought he had supernatural strength due to his Samson-like locks because he challenged Danny to an arm wrestling match.

After arm wrestling we decided to try a game where the odds would be a little more even. 

 Lets just say that Danny definitely isn't as good at Uno as he is at arm wrestling!

Wait...what are we doing?

So as you may have seen on FB we are heading to the States in two short weeks! Unfortunately we won't be able to come to Seattle but we will be hitting up Chicago, St Louis, Kansas City, and Austin - whew! 'What prompted this craziness?' you may be asking yourself. Well let me tell you...Gregg's friend Chris Pycor is going to marry beautiful Nia on March 26th and we had really wanted to go to the wedding but when we moved down here we really didn't think we would be able to afford to come back at all. However, we randomly got a deposit in our bank account from Heaven - aka Boeing but we all know where it really came from - as part of an employee incentive thingy that I don't understand. Add that to the fact that I STILL haven't heard from UW (which I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing) and I really don't feel comfortable picking a school without ever having visited and BOOM...you've got yourself a trip!

We're pretty excited! Especially now that my mama is going to be joining us in Austin - Yee Haw! Now the only question is...Whose going to come hang out with us in Chicago?

oh and side note: if you wanted to send us something for much cheaper than sending it to Guate, email us and we'll send you Gregg's parents address...just a thought :)
